Ministerial Staff

Pastor Tom Williams came to First Baptist Church of Nipomo after more than 35 years as a senior pastor of 3 churches in California and one in Colorado.  30 years ago he helped start the Santa Maria Pregnancy & Resource Center, a CareNet crisis pregnancy center and served many years as the board chair.  Nancy served as Executive Director of the center for 12 years and still works with CareNet and Life International.  Nancy works with missionaries and crisis pregnancy centers around the world.  She has a private practice as a licensed MFC therapist.  At age 60 Pastor Tom took up metal detecting as a hobby, Let him know if you have a yard or a lost ring he can check out for you, okay?  Seeking to find the lost- sounds like a good hobby for a pastor, right?

The Williams family has resided in Santa Maria since 1987.  This last July 7th, Tom and Nancy celebrated their 48th wedding anniversary (obviously they married as young children).  They have 3 grown children and 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren- all great really! Our eldest daughter lives out of state with her family.  Number two daughter and family are located in Sacramento.  Our son lives in Ft. Meyer, FL now and is a proud father of 2 of the of the most beautiful little girls, Emersyn Alma and Audrey Luz.  Curiously all my grandchildren are the most beautiful except for the handsome boys (great grands included).

We are blessed to have great volunteers that God has gifted, equipped and called to make FBC Nipomo work:
Barbara Newman is our pianist.
Nancy Williams and Phyllis Hagerman are leading the Ladies Sunday School class.
